Brazil's major newspapers, including O Globo, O Estado de São Paulo, and Folha de São Paulo, published this Wednesday (9) a "Manifesto to the Brazilian Nation" signed by business entities led by Fiesp. The document gathered the support of more than 2.6 thousand entities and demands that the plenary of the Supreme Federal Court examine the facts in a public session, decide with urgency and without corporatism.
The newspaper O Estado de São Paulo also published a second manifesto, called "For the Law and for Brazil," signed by 157 entrepreneurs, executives, economists, scientists, and public figures. Among the signatories are Armínio Fraga, Elena Landau, Gustavo Franco, Mailson da Nóbrega, Luciano Huck, Luíza Trajano, and Mayana Zatz.
The second manifesto defends the removal of suspects, swift clarification of the facts, and the adoption of a code of conduct at the STF. The business community states that the response the nation awaits admits no deadline.
For this Wednesday (9), a virtual meeting of entrepreneurs and market executives was scheduled to discuss the crisis.
