The Monastery of Lorvão in the municipality of Penacova hosts between October 3 and 5 the 5th National Exhibition of Conventual Sweets. The event is free admission and is organized by the Municipality of Penacova.
The exhibition brings together about two dozen of the most prestigious and award-winning confectioners in the country, covering participants from north to south of Portugal, from Minho to the Algarve.
The event aims to celebrate and promote Portuguese conventual confectionery, a tradition rooted in the history of the Monastery of Lorvão and in the national gastronomic culture.
