Administrative courts warn of pressure caused by new deportation rules

The administrative courts issued warnings about the pressure that will be created by the entry into force of new deportation rules. The legislation is expected to come into force within a few days.

The new rules eliminate the suspensive effect of removal decisions. This means that deportation proceedings may proceed even during the appeal phase.

With the removal of this suspensive effect, administrative courts may face a significant increase in the volume of cases to review, since appeals will no longer automatically block the execution of expulsion decisions.
