The Chinese President, Xi Jinping, reaffirmed China's "unwavering" commitment to strengthening relations with North Korea, through a message sent to the North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un.
The message comes after the intensification of bilateral ties between the two countries, which became more evident since Xi Jinping's visit to Pyongyang in June.
This strengthening of relations occurs at a time when tensions on the Korean Peninsula remain present, and China maintains its role as a historic ally and neighbor of North Korea.
