The Council of Ministers meets this Wednesday in Bragança, with special attention to Higher Education and the development of the country's interior. This meeting takes place only one day after the rejection of the motion of censure against the Government.
The choice of Bragança as the location of the meeting is not casual, being a city in the interior of Portugal where issues related to Higher Education and the depopulation of the territory assume particular relevance.
The Executive intends to debate measures that can strengthen higher education institutions located outside the major urban centers, seeking to reverse trends of abandonment and depopulation of the interior regions.
This meeting arises in a particular political context, after the rejection of the motion of censure that had been presented by the opposition to the Government.
