Vasco's board signaled to Tottenham a purchase proposal for striker Richarlison and awaits a response until this Thursday to finalize the signing. The negotiation is being conducted by president Pedrinho, who has been talking to the player over the past few days, since the opportunity arose given the striker's rejection of other offers abroad.
Vasco intends to discuss financial terms with Richarlison only after Tottenham accepts the Brazilian club's financial offer, which is considered viable without excessive values. The club is counting on the English side's lack of options to negotiate the striker in the final stretch of the transfer window.
Recently, two proposals from Trabzonspor of Turkey for the player were rejected. An offer of 15 million pounds, approximately R$ 98 million, and another of 20 million pounds, approximately R$ 131 million, were turned down by Tottenham.
Initially, Vasco tried to sign the player on loan, but Tottenham has already reached the limit of players traded in that modality, which led the Brazilian club to present a definitive purchase proposal for the player.
