Madrid is just a few days away from hosting a new Formula 1 Grand Prix, which will mark the return of the pinnacle category of motorsport to the Spanish capital after more than four decades of absence. The last Grand Prix held in Madrid took place at the Jarama Circuit, which hosted nine editions between the 1960s and 80s.
The new circuit, called Madring, presents a completely different layout from previous ones, having been designed to integrate into the IFEMA and Valdebebas environment. The circuit includes various elements that distinguish it from other urban circuits in the championship.
Over the next few days, organizers are finalizing the details for what will be one of the major events of the year in Spanish motorsport. This race represents a significant milestone for Madrid and for motorsport in Spain.
