Fluminense defeated Platense-ARG 2-0 on Tuesday at Maracanã, in the first leg of the Libertadores quarterfinals. Despite the victory, the club has a reason for concern regarding Cano's injury.
The Argentine striker felt pain in the back of his right thigh at the end of the second half of the match. After undergoing post-game anti-doping control, Cano left the stadium limping, accompanied by his son Lorenzo.
Cano will undergo exams on Wednesday at CT Carlos Castilho, Fluminense's training center, to assess the severity of the right thigh injury. The club has not yet revealed the exam results or how long the player will be sidelined.
