All territory management plans should now be designed with a responsible environmental agenda that protects and maximizes resources and their sustainability; and that creates territorial resilience against extreme environmental conditions, such as natural disasters, or in situations of instability. The article addresses the need to integrate sustainability and resilience as fundamental pillars in territorial governance, recognizing that environmental impacts require a more holistic and prepared approach to face contemporary challenges.
