Defensive midfielder Leverton Pierre reinforced Académica for the season. The 28-year-old Haitian player arrived at the club as a free player, after having terminated his contract with Vizela days before the close of the transfer market.
Pierre brings with him the experience of being an international for Haiti, having represented his country's national team.
Académica managed to secure the signing of the player outside the normal transfer window, taking advantage of the termination the player had with the previous club. This arrival represents an important reinforcement for the team's defensive midfield, which thus gains a player with international experience who was available on the market without transfer costs.
