Elton John's return to Brazil at Rock in Rio, on Monday (7), almost a decade after his last performance in the country, was highlighted in the international press. The show was mentioned in outlets such as The Telegraph, Rolling Stone, and Associated Press, from the United States. This was the British singer's third performance at the festival, after 2011 and 2015.

Elton John, 79 years old, closed the first weekend of the festival as the main act. For nearly two hours, the artist, affectionately nicknamed "Elton Jão" by Brazilian fans, performed hits such as "Rocket Man," "Tiny Dancer," "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road," and "Your Song."

The Telegraph classified Rock in Rio as "the most spectacular global music event outside Glastonbury." The British newspaper assessed that the artist's first major show in three years proved that "nobody knows how to throw a party like the Rocket Man."
