According to TIM operator, clients used 90.5 terabytes of data during the first four days of Rock in Rio 2026. This volume is equivalent to sharing more than 45 million photos or consuming nearly 260 thousand hours of video. 5G technology accounted for 52% of all traffic recorded at the event, with connection speeds reaching peaks exceeding 1.1 Gbps.
The Black Eyed Peas show recorded the highest network usage during the festival, driven by a highly connected audience active on social media. On September 6, a peak of 2.6 TB of data traffic and 41 thousand simultaneous connections was recorded. Elton John gathered one of the largest audiences of the event.
Among the most used applications, Instagram led the ranking, followed by WhatsApp. Among artificial intelligence platforms, ChatGPT was the most used tool by Rock in Rio attendees.
