The defense of businessman Antonio Carlos Freixo Júnior, known as Mineiro, owner of the company Entre Investimentos e Participações, met on Monday (8) with members of the office of Minister André Mendonça, of the Supreme Federal Court (STF), to discuss a plea bargain regarding the production of the film "Dark Horse". The meeting lasted 15 minutes in a courtroom at the tribunal.
The previous week, Mineiro had signed a collaboration agreement with the Attorney General's Office (PGR). According to the ongoing investigation, the businessman's company would have been used to make transfers by Daniel Vorcaro intended for the production of the film biopic of former President Jair Bolsonaro.
This first meeting between the defense and the minister's office aimed to verify the voluntariness of the plea bargain, meaning whether the businessman acted on his own initiative, in addition to analyzing the legality of the collaboration procedure.
The case involves issues related to the funding of the film "Dark Horse", a cinematic production that tells the life story of former President Bolsonaro, and is part of an inquiry investigating alleged irregularities in the financial transfers for its completion.
