Federal Police directors made their positions available after Andrei Rodrigues' removal from the leadership of the institution. The decision was made five days after Justice Alexandre de Moraes, of the Supreme Federal Court, requested an investigation against former PF director Vinícius Marques de Mendonça. Andrei Rodrigues was dismissed from the position of executive director of the Federal Police after alleged text messages exchanged with former special advisor to the Presidency Célio Rocha, investigated under the Fake News Inquiry. Mendonça was cited in investigations examining alleged irregularities in the purchase of furniture for the Alvorada Palace. Andrei Rodrigues' dismissal was published in the Federal Official Gazette, generating repercussions in the PF's structure.
