Natural gas prices in Europe reached their highest levels in three years, surpassing 76 euros per megawatt-hour. The rise was driven by the Middle East conflict, which has generated instability in energy markets.
On the TTF market in the Netherlands, which serves as the benchmark for natural gas in Europe, the price for one-month delivery rose more than 4% during today's session.
This value represents the highest level since January 2023, highlighting the impact that geopolitical tensions in the Middle East have on European energy markets.
