Cybercriminals are using a fictitious benefit called Auxílio Reconstrução 2026, which promises a payment of R$1,050, to lure victims and carry out scams. The cybersecurity company Kaspersky identified three fraudulent websites that simulate the fake benefit and even mimic the visual identity of the official federal government portal.
The name used in the scam refers to a benefit that actually existed. The real Auxílio Reconstrução was created in 2024 to support families affected by severe floods in Rio Grande do Sul and was paid in a single installment of R$5,100, a value far higher than that offered by the cybercriminals.
The fraud has already prompted an official alert from the Ministry of Integration and Regional Development (MIDR). The agency reinforces that there is no new Auxílio Reconstrução in the amount of R$1,050 and warns the population to be wary of messages promising benefits through access to links or the provision of personal information on unofficial pages.
