Personalized financial consulting gains ground among high-income investors

oglobo8 September 2026 at 19:24

While millions of Brazilians organize their investment portfolios through apps, families with more robust wealth follow a different path. Demand for personalized financial consulting is growing among high-income investors in Brazil, a type of follow-up that automated platforms cannot offer. These investors seek close monitoring, context reading, and decisions that consider the client's entire life, not just the risk profile filled out in a form.

The change in these investors' profile is directly linked to the current economic scenario. With the Selic at elevated levels and global markets reacting to geopolitical tensions, people who took decades to build wealth realized their needs do not fit a standardized risk profile questionnaire. The complexity of their assets requires a more sophisticated approach.

The central question for these investors is no longer just where to invest money. It now includes issues such as protecting already-built wealth and how to transfer it to the next generation. To do this, they consider structures such as holdings and international exposure, instruments that require in-depth technical knowledge and long-term planning, characteristics that traditional investment apps do not offer.

Portugal joins United Kingdom and ten other countries that will ban trade with Israeli settlements

Portugal joined 11 other countries, including the United Kingdom, France, Spain and Ireland, in a coordinated sanctions action against illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank, prohibiting the import of goods produced in these territories. The United Kingdom officially declared that the Israeli occupation in the West Bank is illegal under international law, with the British Foreign Secretary, Ed Miliband, accusing Israel of attempting "ethnic cleansing" against Palestinians. Israel responded by announcing the closure of the British consulate in Jerusalem and excluding the United Kingdom from the US-led mission to Gaza, with Minister Gideon Saar accusing the British of "scandalous lies". The joint statement from the 12 countries alerts to the deterioration of the situation in the West Bank, with unprecedented levels of settler violence and settlement expansion, calling on Israel to cease these practices. The sanctions also include restrictions on financing services for expansion, sanctions on violent individuals and review of weapons exports.
