The Portuguese Prime Minister, Luís Montenegro, survived for the third time a vote of no confidence presented against his Government. The motion was rejected, allowing the executive to continue in power.
During the debate that preceded the vote, Montenegro announced a tax cut as part of his political priorities. The Prime Minister also revealed the intention to grant a pension bonus.
In the same context, Montenegro expressed the decision to keep in office a minister who had generated some controversy, thus showing his support for the executive member.
