The Legislative Assembly of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Alerj) approved on Tuesday, the 8th, Bill 7,726/2026, authored by Deputy Luiz Paulo (PSD), which suspends Credcesta discounts, the payroll loan arm of Banco Master. The proposal aims to interrupt the deductions from the payroll of civil and military servants, whether active, retired, or pensioners of the state.
According to the parliamentarian, the suspension does not represent the extinction of the debts incurred, but rather a temporary measure for financial reorganization. Luiz Paulo described the initiative as a "suspension to be able to put the house in order," allowing beneficiaries to have immediate relief in their paychecks while the situation is regularized.
The project specifically covers credit cards and loans contracted through Credcesta, the arm of Banco Master. The measure applies regardless of the manner in which the credit was contracted, whether by phone call, electronic platform, in-person service, or any other available contracting method.
