SAPO Notícias8 September 2026 at 18:40

The Lisbon Marriott Hotel established a partnership with 24Club, a project integrated into the "Correr Lisboa" initiative. Through this collaboration, the hotel invites participants to discover a less obvious Lisbon, which does not appear in conventional tourist guides.

The 24Club challenges participants to conquer the 24 parishes of the Portuguese capital, being able to do so by running or walking. This program offers participants the opportunity to explore the city in a different and more in-depth way.

As part of this partnership, the Lisbon Marriott Hotel provides prizes and discounts to challenge participants. This collaboration aims to reinforce the hotel's commitment to promoting a healthy and active lifestyle, while encouraging the discovery of lesser-known aspects of the city of Lisbon.

Have a broken appliance? New EU rules will make repairs easier and may extend the warranty

The European Union has approved new Right to Repair rules to make it easier and cheaper to fix appliances such as refrigerators, vacuum cleaners and toasters. Manufacturers will be required to design appliances that are easier to disassemble and repair, favouring screws over glue and limiting software blocks. Spare parts and technical manuals will have to be available for up to ten years after sale. Consumers who choose repair instead of replacement during the warranty period may also benefit from an additional 12-month extension. The EU aims to reduce the waste of millions of tonnes of annual waste and the costs borne by families with faulty equipment.
