TAAG cuts intermediation in ticket sales for Luanda-Cabinda-Luanda flights

NewsAvia8 September 2026 at 18:29

TAAG - Linhas Aéreas de Angola announced that, starting September 15, it will stop using intermediaries in ticket sales for the Luanda-Cabinda-Luanda route. The airline will now exclusively handle sales through its official channels, including call center, stores at Cabinda and Icolo e Bengo airports, mobile app, and website.

The measure aims to combat commercial intermediation situations that, according to the company, contributed to the distortion of the sales process, price speculation, and departure from the commercial procedures defined by TAAG. With this change, the company aims to strengthen control over seat availability, ensure transparency in sales, and ensure passengers have access to the official price.

Air operations between Luanda and Cabinda remain unchanged, as well as the scheduled frequency and the current fare. The round-trip journey in economy class is subsidized, with the price set at 29,717.00 kwanzas. The implementation of the new model was previously coordinated with the Authorities of Cabinda.

The change is part of TAAG's transformation journey and the company's commitment to greater efficiency and customer orientation, allowing passengers a direct relationship with the company through digital channels.

Have a broken appliance? New EU rules will make repairs easier and may extend the warranty

The European Union has approved new Right to Repair rules to make it easier and cheaper to fix appliances such as refrigerators, vacuum cleaners and toasters. Manufacturers will be required to design appliances that are easier to disassemble and repair, favouring screws over glue and limiting software blocks. Consumers who choose repair instead of replacement during the warranty period may also benefit from an additional 12-month extension. The EU aims to reduce the waste of millions of tonnes of annual waste and the costs borne by families with faulty equipment.
