Prime Minister Montenegro responded to the vote of no confidence presented against the Government with the announcement of favorable tax measures for taxpayers. The main measure is an IRS reduction up to the 6th bracket, which will begin to be felt by taxpayers in November.
The Executive also proposed an extra supplement for pensioners, which will be paid in December. This measure aims to support retired citizens and constitutes a direct response to the opposition's criticism.
The vote of no confidence was presented by the opposition as a way to pressure the Government regarding its economic and social policies. Montenegro's response with these tax measures comes at a time of political tension.
With these proposals, the Government hopes to demonstrate its ability to respond to the population's needs and counter the criticism raised by the opposition through concrete measures of support for taxpayers and pensioners.
