The Municipality of Esposende promoted a meeting that brought together the Secretary of State for Social Action and Inclusion, Clara Marques Mendes, representatives of 18 institutions and social entities from the council, and the director of the District Centre of Braga of Social Security, Carla Vasconcelos. The objective of the meeting was to debate the social responses available in the municipality.
The meeting focused on the main difficulties faced by the IPSS of the council, including problems related to the recruitment and retention of workers. These institutions face significant challenges in attracting and maintaining human resources.
The meeting allowed for a direct dialogue between the government, through the ministry, and the local institutions that provide social services in the region. This type of contact aims to identify obstacles and seek joint solutions to improve the social responses available for the population of Esposende.
