The Special Operations Command (COE) of the Military Police carried out, this Tuesday, actions to combat the advancement of criminality in communities in the Vargem Grande region, in the Southwest Zone of Rio de Janeiro. During the operations, the police seized an armored passenger car with loopholes, firearms and drugs, in addition to arresting a suspect.
In the Cesar Maia community, teams from the Shock Police Battalion (BPChq) seized two automobiles. Among them was the armored vehicle which, according to information gathered by the police, was used by criminals in territorial disputes and in confrontations with rival groups.
The automobile had holes in the windshield and in the side and rear windows, structures that indicate its use in armed conflicts. The arrested suspect was captured during the joint action of security forces in the region.
