Court of Auditors confirms 'green light' for the State's purchase of 13.7% of REN

The Court of Auditors confirmed that it gave its favorable opinion on the purchase of 13.7% of REN (Redes Energéticas Nacionais) by the Portuguese State. The decision was made on August 31.

The purchase operation was carried out through Parpública, the public shareholding company responsible for managing State participations in various companies.

The Court of Auditors, when confirming the "green light" for the transaction, thus validated the operation that allows the State to strengthen its position in REN, the company responsible for managing the national electricity grid.
