The Tax Authority sent emails to 33,400 landlords with rental contracts that have already ended and are not renewable, requesting that they communicate the termination of these contracts. The objective appears to be to regularize the tax situation related to these rentals.

The landlords in question have rental contracts that ended several years ago, some of them a long time ago, according to reports from affected taxpayers.

There are owners who assure they communicated the termination of contracts several years ago, questioning the need for this new notification from the tax authority.

The situation is generating surprise and misunderstanding among taxpayers who had already proceeded with the communication of the termination of contracts and who are now being contacted again by the Tax Administration.
