The District Delegation of Castelo Branco of ANAFRE – National Association of Parishes will promote on September 19, in Sertã, an initiative dedicated to the future of parishes and the challenges of local government. The meeting, designated "The parishes – what future", aims to bring together local officials and specialists to debate these issues.
The event arises in the context of a broader reflection on the role of parishes as entities of local government in Portugal. The organization understands that it is fundamental to discuss the challenges that these municipalities face and to look ahead to their future.
ANAFRE is the association that represents Portuguese parishes at the national level, having district delegations in all districts of the country. It is up to these delegations to promote reflection and training initiatives for local officials of parishes in their region.
