Vitória SC achieved six podiums during the weekend across two events of the National Open Water Circuit. The Masters swimming team of the Vimaranense club obtained outstanding results that allowed them to rise to third place in the team standings. The event began on Saturday with the X Crossing of the Montargil Reservoir, where five Vitória swimmers competed.
In Saturday's event, the main highlight was Armindo Lobo, who won the gold medal by winning his age category. Edgar Guimarães finished in second place in category E, while Eliseu Faria came in fifth place in the same category. João Pereira achieved fourth place in category C and Isidro Macedo finished sixth in category G.
On Sunday, the competition continued in Viana do Castelo with the XI International Meeting Sra. D'Agonia, which featured the participation of eight swimmers from Vitória SC in the 2000-meter event. João Santos was one of the main protagonists by winning category A with the gold medal, while Edgar Guimarães and Manuela Ferreira secured silver medals in their respective categories and Eliseu Faria completed the podium with bronze.
With these results, Vitória SC reinforced their collective performance and rose to third place in the National Open Water Circuit. João Pereira, Norberto Matos, Agostinho Oliveira and Isidro Macedo also stood out by all finishing in fourth place in their respective categories.
