The body of an 8-year-old child was found after an alleged drowning on the border between the states of Piauí and Maranhão. The victim was from Buriti dos Lopes, a municipality in Piauí.

The boy was on a farm in Maranhão when the possible drowning occurred. The search for the child began on Monday, the 7th. The body was located by rescue teams after searches conducted in the border region between the two states.
