The rehabilitation works of the Basic and Secondary School Dr. Ângelo Augusto da Silva and its sports pavilion have been completed, representing an investment from the Regional Government of approximately 6.9 million euros, VAT included.

The construction began in September 2024, with a planned execution period of 720 days, covering a deep rehabilitation of the school building, as stated by Miguel Albuquerque's office in a press release.

The works included the complete recovery of the infrastructure, with interventions aimed at modernizing and improving the conditions of the educational establishment and its sports facilities. The investment is part of a broader set of interventions by the Regional Government in the area of education in the region.
