The Regional Secretary for Inclusion, Labour and Youth, Paula Margarido, visited today the Community Center of Lugar da Serra, located in Campanário. During the visit, the government official highlighted the role of community centers as spaces of proximity, encounter and building relationships between people.
Paula Margarido underlined that these spaces allow bringing generations together, combating social isolation and getting to know better the needs of each community. The official emphasized the importance of being close to people and building responses together with them.
The Community Center of Lugar da Serra currently supports 64 people, constituting an important resource for the local population. The visit is part of the monitoring that the regional executive carries out on the existing community support structures in the region.
