A tourist fell and suffered a sprain while walking along the path at Ponta de São Lourenço, a trail identified as PR8 in Madeira. The accident occurred on Tuesday, and the alert was given to the Regional Civil Protection Service shortly before 1 PM.
To the location were mobilized an ambulance and a support vehicle from the Municipal Firefighters of Machico, as well as a maritime rescue team from SANAS. The victim, a foreign citizen, had to be rescued and transported by sea from Cais do Sardinha, at the end of the route.
