The project (De)Construct, (Re)Think, (Re)Educate (DRR), promoted by the Portuguese Union of Mutualities, involved 280 young people aged 10 to 19 in the municipalities of Bragança, Macedo de Cavaleiros and Alfândega da Fé during its first year of implementation.
The initiative focused on promoting mental health and developing socio-emotional skills through preventive, participatory and artistic strategies, covering 20 classes from the 2nd and 3rd cycles and secondary education.
In the first year, the project worked on areas such as self-esteem, emotional management, psychological well-being and interpersonal relationships, also maintaining activities during the summer, namely in Alfândega da Fé.
The DRR is co-financed by the European Union, through Norte 2030 and Portugal 2030, also counting on the support of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and several partner entities from the three municipalities, and is preparing to continue the intervention in the 2026/2027 school year.
