Margarida Campelo was the latest guest on the Posto Emissor program, where she talked about her career as a singer and songwriter. During the interview, she remembered the time she studied jazz at the Hot Clube de Portugal.

At Hot Clube, Margarida Campelo faced prejudice related to her musical tastes. According to her, when she entered that institution, it wasn't well seen to admit that you listened to certain artists.

The performer specifically mentioned that Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder, and Michael Jackson were not artists that it was good to admit listening to in that environment. The very fact of mentioning Michael Jackson left the people at Hot Clube shocked, and she was advised to go study.

Margarida Campelo's mother immediately reacted to this situation, telling her: "they're the stupid ones". Currently, the artist states that this type of prejudice no longer exists today.
