The executive reinforced the powers of ERSE (Energy Services Regulatory Authority) in the energy sector. This entity now has greater supervision and regulation over fuel prices.
The government's position comes in response to criticism that accused the executive of financially benefiting from the increase in fuel prices charged at gas stations. The minister defended that the implemented measures demonstrate the opposite of what was claimed by the critics.
