The president of Chega, André Ventura, again defended the resignation of the Minister of Internal Administration, Luís Neves, considering that the controversies involving the official caused an "unprecedented degradation" of democratic institutions and the governing function.
Ventura was speaking in the Assembly of the Republic at the opening of the discussion of the motion of censure against the Government that the party presented, focused on the controversies surrounding Luís Neves.
The leader of Chega criticized what he considered to be the deterioration of institutions and reiterated that the situation surrounding the minister justifies the presentation of the motion of censure.
