Government authorizes pipeline passage through 40 plots for 1.57 million euro project in Aljustrel

The Government authorized the declaration of public utility for the establishment of an administrative easement over 40 land plots in the municipality of Aljustrel. This decision aims to allow the installation of a water pipeline in the municipal territory.

The pipeline to be installed is part of a larger project to reinforce the reliability of water supply in the region. The contract for this project has already been awarded and involves an investment of approximately 1.57 million euros.

The government decision is formalized in Order No. 11056/2026, which was recently published in the Official Gazette. This order establishes the conditions for the passage of the pipeline through the affected plots.

Chega questions: "Why was Luís Neves removed from Operation Influencer?"

Chega's leader, André Ventura, questioned in Parliament why current Minister of Internal Administration Luís Neves was removed from Operation Influencer, within the framework of the motion of censure presented by the party. Ventura addressed Minister José Luís Carneiro, questioning why the PS is silent and demanding explanations about the different treatment compared to other cases. Deputy Rita Matias reinforced the suspicions, questioning the normality of a reference criminal police body being removed from a process that led to the fall of a Government. Chega also announced it would propose a parliamentary inquiry committee into Operation Influencer to investigate acts of corruption in the last Executive of António Costa, although PSD and PS have already blocked this CPI from advancing. Operation Influencer investigates suspected crimes in the construction of a data center in Sines, in lithium exploration in Montalegre and Boticas, and in hydrogen production, having led to the fall of António Costa's Government in November 2023.
