Rede Nacional Expressos (RNE), the manager of Sete Rios Bus Terminal, reacted to news about Flixbus's access to this terminal in Lisbon. The company maintains that Flixbus's operations have not yet begun, but denies that the responsibility lies with the terminal.
According to RNE, the reasons for the delay are related to internal issues within Flixbus itself and regulatory matters connected to the Instituto da Mobilidade e dos Transportes (IMT).
The company specifically points to three problems: successive changes to the schedules requested by Flixbus, the incomplete or late submission of necessary information, and the lack of authorizations considered necessary by the regulatory authorities.
This response comes in a context of anticipation about Flixbus's entry into the Portuguese road transport market, with the German company intending to operate routes from the Sete Rios terminal.
