Israeli opposition leaders criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and accused him of being unfit for the position after the revelation that President of the United Arab Emirates, Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, had warned Netanyahu about Hamas's preparations for the October 7, 2023 attack.
The newspaper Haaretz revealed excerpts from a book written by two of its reporters, according to which the Emirati president spoke directly with Netanyahu nearly 10 days before Hamas's attack from Gaza and warned him that the Islamic movement was preparing a major operation.
According to the newspaper, the Israeli prime minister, who is campaigning for the legislative elections on October 27, "did nothing" in response to the warning received. The information was published amid the electoral dispute in Israel.
