Which Latin American countries have better education than Brazil, according to the Pisa ranking

Brazil ranked behind at least three Latin American countries in the international Pisa education ranking. The ranking assesses student performance in sciences, reading, mathematics, and computational problem solving.

Chile, Uruguay, and Costa Rica obtained scores higher than Brazil's in all four areas analyzed by the study. These three countries were the only ones in the Latin American region to surpass Brazil in all measured indicators.

The Programme for International Student Assessment (Pisa) is conducted by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and is considered one of the main global references for comparing education quality between countries.
