Auto Viação Feirense, a transport company based in Lourosa, won the international public tender for public transport in Alto Minho. The choice was made by CIM Alto Minho, which promoted the third international public tender to guarantee mobility between the 10 municipalities of the district of Viana do Castelo.
The public tender was launched for an amount exceeding 30 million euros, for a service with a duration of five years. This was the third attempt by CIM Alto Minho to find an operator for the region.
AV Feirense is expected to begin its operation gradually later this year. The company anticipates reaching full operation by mid-2027. The tender was originally published by the weekly newspaper Alto Minho.
