What worked and what didn't in the 1st week of Rock in Rio 2026; see the balance

The first weekend of Rock in Rio 2026 was marked by great shows and many organizational successes, but also by some problems that could serve as lessons for the next week of the festival. The second weekend's schedule is planned for Friday (11), Saturday (12), and Sunday (13), especially if the rain forecast holds.

The festival resumes with a k-pop night. Among the artists performing over the coming days are Demi Lovato, Maroon 5, Zara Larsson, and Twenty One Pilots, completing a diverse lineup for the audience.

Regarding what went right, the first weekend dispelled doubts about the shows and the lineup of the edition. Virtually no day fell short, and the day with the most positive reception was the last of this first week, on September 7th, with Elton John as the main act.

Rock and metal also had their moment in the spotlight, with performances widely praised and acclaimed by the audience, such as those by Rise Against and Foo Fighters, which contributed to the success of the festival's first week.
