CISMA – Associação Cultural is promoting on Friday, November 11, at 9 PM, at Condomínio Associativo II (former Orfeão building), in Covilhã, the fourth edition of Beira Rock. This is an evening dedicated to rock music and different proposals within the genre, featuring the performance of three bands.
Opening the night will be Crianças ao Poder, a project that explores an approach close to punk, presenting itself through a critical relationship with fashion and the commercial logic of the music industry. They will be followed by Catsoup, who have been developing their own language based on the deconstruction of some conventional forms of composition. This band is currently working on their third album and may present new music at this edition of the event. Closing the program will be Baleia Baleia Baleia, a project characterized by the intensity of their performances and the exploration of different possibilities within rock.
In addition to the concerts, the evening will include an initial social moment, described by the organization as a space for encounter between the community and the different audiences of the event, accompanied by music.
Beira Rock was born in Covilhã with the objective of creating a space dedicated to rock music and bringing together different projects and audiences from the city. Throughout its editions, the event has sought to present distinct musical proposals and contribute to the dynamization of the local cultural programming.
