Justice Mendonça removed the Federal Police Director-General, Andrei Rodrigues, and the PF's Intelligence Chief from their positions. The decision was made within the scope of the so-called "Master Case," which involves an investigation into alleged irregularities in operations conducted by the corporation.
The removal was determined following a request filed by the Novo Party. The party initially requested the arrest of Andrei Rodrigues, but Mendonça opted for a milder measure, determining only the temporary removal from office of the two public servants.
With the decision, Andrei Rodrigues and the Intelligence Chief will temporarily leave their positions while the investigations into the Master Case proceed. The justice did not grant the arrest request filed by the party but deemed it necessary to separate them from their duties to ensure the proper progress of the investigations.
