The association Vida e Paz came to defend the drug combat policies implemented during the 90s in Portugal. The president of the association considers that these policies continue to be relevant and necessary to address the problem of addictions in the country.
According to the official, "more investment is always necessary," recognizing the importance of dedicated financial resources to face this issue. However, he argues that a more comprehensive solution is needed rather than simply increasing funds.
The president also warned about the concerning situation of homeless people who suffer from addictions. This is one of the central concerns of the association, which works directly with vulnerable populations affected by drug use.
