Brazilian actor Vítor Hugo, known in Portugal for his work on TVI and his most recent participation in "Terra Forte", was at Quinta do Paral in Vidigueira during the Alentejo Autêntico event. The visit coincided with a special date: it had been ten years since the actor's arrival in Portugal. Accompanied by his wife, Vítor Hugo learned about the region's tourism and cultural projects, including Casa Pereirinha and Quinta do Quetzal, during a visit that is deepening his relationship with the Alentejo territory.
The actor expressed his admiration for the Alentejo landscape, highlighting the vastness of the plains and a horizon he described as a spectacle where "the view stretches to infinity". "It is a most blessed land," said Vítor Hugo, considering that "the Alentejo is becoming a second home". His presence in Vidigueira came at the invitation of José Manuel Santos, president of the Regional Tourism Entity of Alentejo and Ribatejo.
During the event, the actor also discovered the music of Luís Trigacheiro, a native of Beja. He attended the singer's performance with the Grupo Coral da Vidigueira and was impressed by the voice he classified as "so powerful, so subtle, so sweet and so velvety", also highlighting how the repertoire portrays the Alentejo "with a certain sweetness".
Alentejo Autêntico featured 12 micro-concerts in enotourism venues and rural settings throughout the region. José Manuel Santos argued that musical culture should take a central place in the tourism promotion of the Alentejo, seeking to show a territory that "goes far beyond wine". On the occasion, Filipe Beja Simões, director of The Wine Hotel, revealed that the establishment exceeded 85% occupancy and records growth of 20% to 25% for 2026.
