Blastness, the leading Italian travel technology company for the hotel sector, has appointed Francis Louis Passerini as its new Chief Operating Officer. The announcement was made in Milan and the new COO will report directly to CEO Andrea Delfini. Passerini will be responsible for the company's main operational functions, including revenue management, helpdesk, customer service, digital marketing, and web development.
His mission will be to accelerate the company's growth strategy and develop an integrated, efficient, and scalable operational model, focusing on interdepartmental collaboration and service quality improvement. The appointment comes at a significant stage following a period of transformation supported by major acquisitions, consolidating Blastness's position as one of the leading international operators in the sector.
The company has been present in Portugal since 2025 through an operation based in Lisbon, which serves as a hub for activity on the Iberian Peninsula. It also has ongoing development projects in the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Founded in 2004, Blastness is the leading Italian provider of digital solutions for hotels, serving more than 2,000 independent hotels and hotel groups, and has been the leader in Italy for over 15 consecutive years in providing reservation systems for 5-star hotels.
Passerini brings over 30 years of experience in the hospitality and Travel Tech sectors. For the past 24 years, he has held the position of Managing Director for Italy & MEA at D-EDGE Hospitality Solutions, having led operations in Venice, Paris, Singapore, and Tokyo. CEO Andrea Delfini expressed confidence that Passerini's international experience will play a decisive role in strengthening the operational model and accelerating the company's growth strategy.
