The Portuguese tech company DareData opened a new office in Porto this week, strengthening its operations in the North of the country and in the Spanish market. The operation launches with a team of approximately 20 professionals installed in NOS offices, near NorteShopping, functioning in a fully integrated manner with the headquarters in Lisbon, without local autonomous management. The new space has the presence of the Head of Growth and members from the Engineering and Deployment areas, bringing together skills in business development, innovation, and technological implementation.
DareData gained greater media visibility in the summer of 2024, when NOS acquired a 20% stake in the company specializing in the development of artificial intelligence solutions. This new investment responds to the strong growth in GenOS implementations, a platform developed by the company to operationalize and scale AI-supported processes, through a Forward Deployed Engineering-inspired model that integrates technical teams on the ground.
Among the projects supporting this expansion, the work developed for COFICAB, in the industrial sector, stands out, where AI application ranges from the factory floor to the Research and Development department, generating daily savings of hundreds of euros per machine in raw material and allowing the virtual testing of up to 50,000 design and material combinations in seconds. At Greenvolt Comunidades, the GenOS platform automated the process of joining Energy Communities, extracting more than 30 information fields with 93% accuracy and processing most documents in just 10 to 20 seconds.
The company, founded in 2019 and which has just reached its 100th enterprise client, currently has over 130 data and AI specialists, operating in sectors such as Banking, Telecommunications, Logistics, and Healthcare. The Iberian market expansion precedes entry into the United Kingdom, planned for the last quarter of 2026. DareData was recognized as the fastest-growing AI company in Portugal by Clutch in 2023 and joined Deloitte's Technology Fast 50 ranking in 2025.
