ANAFRE – National Association of Parishes is strengthening dialogue with the Intermunicipal Communities (CIM) to advocate for greater participation of parishes in decisions about investment priorities and the application of European funds. The association considers it important that parishes have a more active role in defining how European funds should be used in their territories. The CIM of Beira Baixa was the first entity contacted by ANAFRE in this cycle of meetings, which aims to cover other intermunicipal communities. This initiative comes in the context of preparation for the next phase of application of European funds in Portugal, where ANAFRE intends to ensure that parishes have more influence in decisions that directly affect their local communities.
