Order of Nurses launches OEquilíbrio

The Order of Nurses launched this week a free and confidential mental health and well-being program, called OEquilíbrio. The program is aimed at all nurses with active registration with the Order.

This program allows access to up to six Psychology or Mental Health consultations in each 12-month period. In cases where there is a clinical indication and referral, the nurse can benefit free of charge from five Psychology or Mental Health consultations and one Psychiatry consultation.

Artur Galinha, former businessman and parachutist from Almeirim, has died

Artur Correia da Silva, known as Artur Galinha, has died in Almeirim at the age of 89. He was a former Major Sergeant Parachutist of the Portuguese Army and a local businessman, owner of the grocery store and restaurant O Galinha. Throughout his life, he maintained an active participation in civic and political life, having been a candidate for the presidency of the Parish Council of Almeirim for the coalition Amar a Terra in 2013 and, more recently, joined the list of the coalition Agora as Pessoas in the 2025 local elections.
